The alumina hollow brick is made of alumina hollow ball and alumina powder as main raw materials, combined with other binders, and fired at 1750 ℃.
1.Hollow ball refractory has excellent high temperature resistance, insulation performance, thermal shock resistance and high strength. However, these materials also have low bulk density and low thermal capacity. Therefore, to a certain extent, it can also improve the thermal efficiency of the high-temperature furnace, shorten the production cycle, and significantly reduce the weight of the furnace. They can be directly used for high-temperature furnace lining.
2.The alumina hollow brick can be used at 1800 ℃ for a long time. At high temperature, they have good chemical stability and corrosion resistance. But they can remain stable in hydrogen atmosphere.
The alumina raw material is melted in a 2200 degree electric arc furnace. When pouring out the melt, blow out the melt with high-pressure air to disperse the melt into small droplets. During the cooling process, due to the influence of surface tension, the droplets form hollow alumina spheres. The hollow ball is screened to remove fine powder and large particles. Iron is removed with magnetic iron. The broken ball shall be removed by ball selector. Then the alumina hollow ball is used as the finished product packaging. The alumina hollow brick is made of 70% alumina hollow ball and 30% sintered aluminum powder, which is bonded with aluminum sulfate and vibrated on the wooden mold by applying pressure. After drying, the green body is sintered or lightly burnt into bricks at high temperature.
