Magnesia Alumina Spinel Brick (MAS) is primarily made of magnesia (corundum grain) and a few synthetic spinels. It is pressed under high temperature and produced by high temperature firing. And magnesia alumina spinel is made of high-quality alumina with an Al2O3 content of over 76% and high-quality lightly burned magnesium powder with a MgO content of over 95%. After multi-stage homogenization process, it is sintered at high temperatures above 1800°C in an ultra-high temperature tunnel kiln.
Magnesia alumina spinel brick has excellent characteristics such as low porosity, high strength, good thermal shock stability, and corrosion resistance. It also has stable chemical properties and strong resistance to alkaline slag. It is the upgrade product of pure magnesia brick and magnesia alumina brick. Compared with magnesia alumina brick (corundum brick) of same substrate, it has excellent RUL and TSR.
