VOD Refining Furnace

VD furnace is used for removing “O”,”H”,”N”,”S”,and impurity. VOD furnace has the capacity of VD, and it can be used for removing “C” element.

VD(vacuum degassing): In the condition of vacuum, “O”,”H”,”N” is removed with the condition what is the larger differential pressure. When the steel liquid is boiling with stirring by blowing argon, the “S” element is removed by what the slag was touched enough with liquid.

VOD(vacuum Oxygen degassing): With the ability of VD, it got another ability that can reduce the element of carbon. VOD got a blowing oxygen device. When the steel liquid got the more oxygen by the blowing device, “C” element what is developing “CO” with Oxygen is removed. And another ability is what the steel liquid temperature will be kept by that “CO” is developed.

Molten steel zone working lining: Under vacuum conditions, always being eroded and attacked by high alkaline packed-slag molten steel. High Chrome RMK, DMK and MD products are recommended.

Slag line zone working lining: Always being attacked by high alkaline slag and strong vacuum damage and severe temperature changes. MD and RMK products are recommended.

Furnace bottom zone working lining: Under vacuum and bottom Argon spray working conditions and always being eroded by strong current of packed-slag molten steel, and severe temperature changes damage. MD or high Chrome RMK Products are recommended.

Furnace free zone: Working conditions are relatively mild but always being damaged by vacuum conditions, temperature changes and high alkaline slag attack. MD or higher Chrome DMK products are recommended.

AOD and VOD safety linings: Provide last protection for DEGASSER safety production, medium grade of DMK, MZ or HA products are recommended.
